Our content standards, the types of artwork we cannot work on, and how we communicate respectfully when a request falls outside those guidelines.
We respect our clients and their customers. These guidelines describe the work we can accept, not a judgment of anyone else's business.
1. Our Approach
Magik Designs provides creative design, production artwork and prepress support to businesses serving many different customers. As a company guided by Islamic principles, we have limits on certain promotional content we can create or prepare.
We value our client relationships and aim to be clear, discreet and respectful whenever a project falls outside these limits.
2. Content We Do Not Work On
We do not accept design, editing or prepress requests that promote or feature the following categories:
Pork products — including bacon, ham, pork chops, pork ribs, pulled pork and pork-based menu items.
Alcoholic beverages — including beer, wine, whiskey, liquor and alcoholic cocktails.
Interest-based lending promotions — including payday loans, interest-bearing personal or mortgage loans, and interest-charging credit card offers.
Gambling and betting — including casinos, lotteries, sports betting and online gambling.
Sexually explicit or adult entertainment content — including pornography, nudity and explicit promotional imagery.
Tobacco and recreational drugs — including cigarettes, vapes, marijuana and recreational drug promotions.
Alcohol-focused nightlife and adult entertainment — including nightclub or bar promotions centered on alcohol or sexualized entertainment.
Fraudulent or deliberately deceptive materials — including scams, false offers or misleading advertisements.
3. How We Review and Respond
We check submitted artwork and project instructions before accepting work. If we find restricted content, we notify the client privately and as early as practical.
Where possible, we can suggest working only on the acceptable parts of a project or adjusting the artwork. Any change to the client's original text, menu items, images or layout will require the client's approval first.
If adjustments are not suitable, we will respectfully decline the affected request without criticism of the client or their end customer.
4. If a Project Is Already Underway
If we discover restricted content after work has started, we may pause the affected portion and contact the client to discuss options. We will not quietly remove products, rewrite copy or substitute artwork without approval.
We will aim to reduce disruption. Any billing, cancellation or refund questions will follow the agreed project terms and our Billing & Refund Policy.
5. Services Covered
These guidelines apply whether we are creating new artwork or modifying files supplied by a client.
Graphic and creative design
Artwork editing, corrections and rebuilding
Print-ready file preparation and prepress
Proofing, vectorization and file conversion
AI-assisted artwork preparation and ongoing outsourced production support
6. Ongoing Client Relationships
Declining one project does not affect our willingness to support other work. We will treat client files and discussions confidentially, communicate clearly, and continue to welcome projects within our service and content guidelines.
7. Questions and Policy Updates
If you are unsure whether a request is eligible, please contact us before sending it into production. We can review the scope and explain what we can support.
We may update these guidelines from time to time. The most recent version will be available on this page.
