At Magik Designs, we are committed to delivering high-quality design and pre-press services within reliable and predictable timelines. This policy outlines how turnaround times are defined, managed, and communicated.

1. General Turnaround Principles

All turnaround times are:

  • Based on business days only (excluding weekends and public holidays unless otherwise agreed)
  • Calculated from the time when:
  • A request is clearly submitted, and
  • All required files, instructions, and assets are provided

Incomplete or unclear requests may result in delays.

2. Standard Turnaround Timeframes

Turnaround times vary depending on the complexity of the task:

Simple Tasks (20–40 minutes scope)

Examples:

  • Business card edits
  • Minor text or layout changes
  • File resizing or format adjustments

Estimated Turnaround:
12–24 hours

Moderate Tasks (40–90 minutes scope)

Examples:

  • Flyer adjustments
  • Pre-press file setup and corrections
  • Multi-element edits

Estimated Turnaround:
24–48 hours

Complex Tasks (90+ minutes scope)

Examples:

  • Multi-page layouts
  • Large format designs
  • Detailed pre-press preparation

Estimated Turnaround:
48–72+ hours
(or as scoped per project)

3. Queue-Based Workflow

All tasks are handled through a structured queue system:

  • Active tasks are worked on based on plan limits
  • Additional requests are placed in queue and processed sequentially
  • Higher-tier or dedicated plans may receive priority handling

4. Revisions Turnaround

Revision timelines depend on:

  • The extent of requested changes
  • Clarity of feedback

Typical Revision Turnaround:

  • Minor revisions: 12–24 hours
  • Moderate revisions: 24–48 hours

Repeated or unclear revision requests may extend timelines.

5. Rush Jobs

Rush services are not included by default in standard plans.

A request may be classified as a rush job if:

  • Delivery is required faster than standard turnaround times
  • The task requires immediate prioritization over existing work

Rush jobs:

  • Are subject to availability
  • May incur additional charges
  • May be limited per subscription plan

6. Dependencies & Delays

Turnaround times may be affected by:

  • Missing or incomplete files
  • Delayed client responses or approvals
  • Changes in project scope
  • High workload or queue volume

Magik Designs is not responsible for delays caused by external dependencies.

7. Client Responsibility

To ensure timely delivery, clients are expected to:

  • Provide clear and complete instructions
  • Submit all required files upfront
  • Respond to queries and approvals promptly

Delays in communication may impact delivery timelines.

8. No Guaranteed Deadlines (Unless Agreed)

Standard turnaround times are estimates, not guarantees.

For time-sensitive or fixed-deadline projects:

  • A confirmed deadline must be agreed upon in advance
  • Rush or priority handling may apply

9. Service Hours

Work is performed during defined operational hours.

  • Tasks submitted outside working hours will be processed on the next business day
  • Weekend or extended-hour support may be available under specific plans or additional charges

10. Policy Acceptance

By working with Magik Designs, clients acknowledge and agree to this Turnaround Time Policy.
